Day 01: KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - ARUSHA

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, upon arrival you will be met by our driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel for overnight stay at SG Resort. (Meal Plan: Breakfast)

Day 02: ARUSHA - MACHAME GAME

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Machame gate where is your start up point of Kili trek This route is a fantastic opportunity to combine mountain skills and experience.  It maximizes the time and options available for climbing and allows for a more leisurely pace.  Kilimanjaro’s glaciers and rock formations are resplendent with icefalls, chasms, snowfields, and excellent climbing terrain. Drive to Machame village.  The climb begins at the end of the tarmac road.  Walk through the shamba and through the forest to the Machame Hut (3,000m) about 6 hours.

Overnight stay at MACHAME HUT (Meal Plan: breakfast, lunch/picnic lunch and dinner)

Day 03: SHIRA HUT

Cross the valley and continue along the steep ridge going on to rock ridges and through heather.  The route turns west into a river gorge, reaching Shira Hut (3,800m). Overnight stay at SHIRA HUT

Day 04: SHIRA HUT

Extra day for acclimatization, walking to Shira Plateau and Shira Needles or Shira Cathedral.

Overnight stay at SHIRA HUT (Meal Plan: breakfast, lunch/picnic lunch and dinner)

Day 05: BARANCO HUT

Continue east towards Kibo passing the junction, then east towards the Lava Tower.  Shortly after this, you climb down to Baranco Hut (3,940m). Overnight stay at BARANCO HUT

Day 06: BARAFU HUT

From Baranco a steep rocky climb, Baranco walls, then ups and downs until you come to Karanga Valley and then on to Barafu Hut. (4,600m). Overnight stay at BARAFU HUT

Day 07: MWEKA HUT    

Very early start for the summit, first to Stella Point and then to Uhuru Peak (5895m).  The descent is by the Mweka Route - Uhuru - Barrafu - Mweka Hut and will take about 6 hours.  The route is steep but picturesque. Overnight stay at MWEKA HUT

Day 08: MWEKA GATE TO ARUSHA

Mweka Hut to Mweka Gate will take about 3 hours drive to Arusha, drop off at your hotel for hot showers, dinner and a warm bed. Dinner and overnight at SG Resort(Meal Plan: breakfast and dinner)

Day 09: ARUSHA

After breakfast, afternoon at leisure, later transfer to the Airport for your onward flight back home.
